How should the platform balance control and convenience?#
The standard path should be the fastest path. A small set of mandatory controls sits inside a larger set of optional conveniences, so the safe route is also the easy one and teams do not have to choose between moving and complying.
That makes it the delivery arm of a software factory: the factory defines how work gets built and checked, and the platform is how teams reach it. The guardrails it enforces are the mandatory part; everything else is there because it saves time.
