The destination

What we mean by AI Native.

AI Native describes an organisation whose software development is built around AI from the ground up. Agents do most of the coding inside a platform that keeps quality, security, and control in place. Engineers direct and verify rather than typing every line.

Cloud Native was the last major shift in how software is built. AI Native is the current one.

It's a destination reached in stages, not a switch flipped.

It changes team structure, planning, and daily work — not just tools.

The organisational change runs alongside the technical build, not after it.

What's in a transformation

The workstreams that run in parallel

Each can be bought on its own. Transformation is the whole climb — sequenced and adjusted as one effort rather than a set of disconnected projects.

01

Assessment

The fixed-scope first step. Locates you on the AI Adoption Ladder and produces the roadmap.

02

Education

Cohort training that moves engineering teams to agentic development.

03

Software factory

Designing and building the platform agents run on.

04

Legacy modernisation

Bringing the existing estate up to the standard where it can run on the factory.

05

Process & delivery consulting

Changing how backlogs, reviews, and delivery work. Tools without practices produce limited results.

06

Governance framework

Tooling decisions, usage policies, review processes, and controls that keep AI use safe as it scales.

07

Change management

Bringing the whole organisation along — the sceptical and the anxious, not only the early adopters.

08

Strategic advisory

Guidance for engineering leadership on team structure, hiring, and how to adapt as the field moves.

How it runs

The four phases of a transformation

01

Vision

Half a day

Vision & target outcome

A working session with your stakeholders to agree what the transformation is for and where to start.

02

Assessment

2 days on-site

Assessment

Value-stream mapping, technical review of code and pipelines, interviews. A baseline on the ladder.

03

Roadmap

Up to 2 weeks

Roadmap

The gap analysis and phased plan, written for executives to read. Largely on us.

04

Delivery

Scoped together

Delivery

Our engineers work inside your teams to build what the roadmap agreed, then hand it over.

How we work

Inside your teams, built to end.

Our engineers work inside your teams, not from the outside. A typical shape is us making around a third of the initial team — enough to contribute the knowledge and do the hands-on work, while your own people do the majority and keep what gets built. The same seniors who scope the programme deliver it.

The engagement is designed to end. We document the patterns, train your own trainers, and hand over the governance framework, so the capability stays with you when we leave. Our business model is to make ourselves unnecessary.

Get started

Start with the assessment,
decide the rest later.

The assessment is fixed-scope and deliberately low commitment. From it comes the roadmap. From the roadmap, you decide what to deliver — and with whom.
